Work With Me
Hi, I'm Betsy!Â
As âThe Coachesâ Coachâ, I utilize the transformative power of communication to help build high-performing teams. As a former coach, I understands that âchemistryâ is more than a buzzword â it is the result of genuine connection, and at its core lies effective communication.
In my role as âThe Coachesâ Coach,â I meet individuals where they are to support their growth and evolution. As a Communication Specialist, I work collaboratively to enhance communication effectiveness and drive positive change at every level. Building connections within diverse audiences as a facilitator and educator, I offer a professional, playful, and people-centric approach to learning and development.
A life-long athlete, I grew up playing all sports and was a competitive basketball player (and fairly awful golfer) at the collegiate level. I now spends my time with my family, hiking, biking, practicing yoga, chasing sunsets, and in constant pursuit of the perfect breakfast burrito

Brenda Frese
HEAD COACH, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND
"Everyone needs a Betsy in their organization or team. We have been given an edge while enlisting Betsy as our communications specialist on our team. In 3 years she has made an immediate connection with every player and staff member. She has listened, observed, studied and then helped produce a better way to communicate and connect within our program. Betsy can make an immediate impact in your organization in whatever area is needed. We feel so fortunate to have her as part of our team."
Chico RegoÂ
GEORGE WASHINGTON SWIM & DIVE HEAD COACH
âI first met Betsy while working at Georgia Tech, where she was hired to support the Swimming and Diving team by enhancing communication between the Head Coach, the staff, and the student-athletes. From our very first conversation, Betsy and I immediately connected. Our shared passion for people often led us to see eye to eye on many matters. However, what makes Betsy truly exceptional is her ability to understand and articulate multiple perspectives.
Her communication skills are unparalleled, and when combined with her soothing yet engaging voice, her message always resonates. Now, in my new role as the Head Coach for the George Washington University Swimming and Diving program, I am fortunate to continue working with Betsy. She has been an invaluable asset as I navigate my first tenure as a Head Coach, helping me tackle unexpected challenges and refine how I communicate with my team.
To call Betsy a communication specialist is an understatement. The depth of her impact on both my current and past programs goes far beyond that title. I fully endorse Betsy and her services to any team, leader, or organization looking to strengthen communication and build stronger connections among their members.â

Margueritte Azoasa
UCLA WOMAN'S SOCCER HEAD COACH
âMentor doesn't really encapsulate all Betsy has done for me and the influence she's had on me as a coach and a person. Betsy is the person I consult as I face the most difficult aspects of my job as a coach.Â
My entire career relies and thrives on my ability to communicate with my players, my staff, my administration, and my community. The words I say are powerful and they have to reflect who I am with authenticity. These words manage, inspire, diffuse, teach, repair, etc. with nuance and purpose. Often, I feel confident in my ability to articulate myself with such intention. However, on the days I am uncertain, I call Betsy.Â
Although they are commonplace in my role, difficult conversations still make me uneasy. I know they are necessary. I know they have preventative power. I know they keep my program headed in the proper direction. Although I still feel the anxiety of having to deliver difficult news, Betsy has taught me how to face these conversations with compassion and candor. Her thoughtful diction and delivery have shaped our program over the last few years, albeit behind the scenes. She understands the modern athlete and how much they value effective communication.Â
So often, we sit in meetings to discuss conflicts and various issues in our home environments. So often, it comes down to an issue with communication. Betsy understands the smallest details of communication with a command I have not seen before. I know as I continue in my career as a coach, Betsy will always be someone I go to when I face the pivotal moments that are dictated by my choice of word, tone, and overall approach to a conversation. Simply put, her knowledge is an invaluable asset to our program.â
