Continuing education for how to communicate, connect with, and coach today’s student-athlete. This course takes into account the current landscape of sport and offers tangible insights into creating an optimal sport experience for coaches and athletes.

The Curriculum
Module 1
Course Introduction
This course offers insights from thousands of conversations with current athletes to identify the most important elements of a quality sports experience. Using the acronym T.E.A.C.H.E.R.S. you will learn how to improve the quality of your coaching while working collaboratively with Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
Module 2
TRANSPARENCY
Gen Z craves transparency. Our opportunity is to lean into their desire for information while creating shared understanding.
Module 3
EMOTIONS
Gen Z has all the feels. Our opportunity is to help athletes learn to self-regulate and use the energy of emotion to facilitate growth and resilience.
Module 4
AFFIRMATION
To Gen Z, who they are is more valuable than what they do. Our opportunity is to shift our language from praise to affirmation.
Module 5
CHOICES
Gen Z loves to co-create. Our opportunity is to give them choices that allow for customization of their sport experience while increasing ownership and accountability.
Module 6
HELPFUL
Gen Z values instant, expert feedback. Our opportunity is to offer feedback that deepens their learning experience and sets them up for future success.
Module 7
EMBRACE
Gen Z is unique! Embracing who and how they are increases our coachability, flexibility, and well-being.
Module 8
RESPECT
Gen Z demands respect. Our opportunity is to learn while old adges no longer apply and and how to show and earn respect.
Module 9
SUPPORT
Gen Z thrives with support. Our opportunity is to create environments that optimize growth and champion love.
